About Me

I am an experienced and fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, registered as a member of the UKCP. I trained at Regent’s College, London where I gained an MA with distinction in Psychotherapy and Counselling followed by an additional two years of study to attain an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy.

Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I worked for twenty years in investment banking. My first degree was in Chemistry at Oxford University. I attended Somerville College where I attained an MA in Chemistry.

As a counsellor in the NHS, I worked for the Lillie Road Health Centre for five years. I have been a psychotherapist in private practice since 2006. I undertake Continuing Professional Development at well above the regulatory requirement, attending courses, seminars and workshops as well as devoting many hours to private study of psychotherapeutic theory and philosophy. I do this in order to keep my ideas fresh and up-to-date so that I can help my clients to the best of my ability.

My consulting room is a private and secure space, designed and used solely for counselling and psychotherapy. It is situated in a second floor apartment in an Edwardian mansion block. The architecture provides large windows that are not overlooked except by a flowering cherry tree that blossoms in the spring. The room is spacious, light and airy, with a choice of comfortable chairs. The street, Riverview Gardens, is tree-lined and quiet. There is some on-street parking nearby and for public transport, Barnes and Barnes Bridge railway stations are a short bus journey away.
